General Information
Dear exchange student, welcome to Sabauni.
First of all, we would like thank you for choosing Sabauni for you Erasmus+ mobility program. We hope the semester you spend at Sabauni will be interesting and memorable.
International Relations office is ready to assist you and answer all of questions.
In order to spend one interesting semester at our Univrsity within Erasmus+ ICM program, you should contact International Relations Department at your home University, take part in the competition and overcome all internal barriers. Your home university will send the nominations to us, that will be confirmed by the selection committee of Sabauni. Once the final decision is made, we will contact you for the further information and steps.
Housing
Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University owns its own student dormitory, that will welcome not only local student, but foreigners as well from the second semester of 2020-2021 academic year. More details regarding the dormitory will be updated in January 2020.
International Relations Office is responsible for incoming student and staff accommodation issues.
Insurance
Incoming student is required to have health insurance, that is valid in Georgia. If the student does not have an insurance, IR manager is able to assist him/her. (provide information regarding the insurance agencies, their offers, organize meeting with the agents).
Visa
On September 1, 2014, a new visa policy was launched in Georgia. The list of countries whose citizens (stateless persons) have the right to enter Georgia without a visa in case of short-term visits has been defined. Detailed information about the visa procedures, visit the web-page www.geoconsul.gov.ge
Short term visa for foreigners is issued for 90 days within 180 days.
