Marian Kekenadze
University Lumsa (Italy)
Mariam Kekenadze, MA student of Law at Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University studied Fall semester of 2021-2022 academic year at LUMSA university (Italy) under Erasmus+ ICM program.
Ever since I started my studies in Sabauni, I wanted to take advantage of the Erasmus + exchange program. I understood from the beginning that this would be a new challenge for me, since the teaching method in Europe is different from Georgia. Also, living in a foreign country, away from friends and family, you have to deal with each problem on your own. Before the program, I expected to meet more students from different countries, become more independent and gain great life experience. Fortunately, this program allowed me to achieve each of these goals.
Through this program I became more confident and independent. The opportunity to interact with students from different countries allowed me to improve my communication skills. I also developed the skills of solving problems and adapting to news.
Within the framework of mobility, I took a rather interesting and useful subject - personal skills: public speaking. Within the scope of the mentioned subject, by completing weekly practical tasks, I improved my speaking and public speaking skills, which are an important and necessary component for a person in my profession.
In addition, within the framework of mobility, I learned how to find a way out of any difficult situation and to deal with the challenges facing me efficiently and independently.
The period spent at Lumsa University was diverse and unforgettable for me. While living in Rome, I had the opportunity to travel around Italy, discover its culture, visit important sights and see amazing works of art. All these were an integral part of my Italian life and I will miss those days tremendously.
I think that participating in an exchange program is an important experience for any student. During this period, the student has the opportunity to participate in international projects, to develop important professional and personal skills. Also, surrounded by multinational students, it is possible to meet people from different countries, make friends and collect unforgettable memories.
