Admission
Those wishing to study in a foreign language program at Sulkhan-Saba Orbelian University should send the necessary documentation to the following e-mail address: admission@sabauni.edu.ge. For registration visit the link (Note: when sending an email, specify the name of the program in the title)
First stage:

Online/on-site registration of student candidates.

Transfer of a notarized power of attorney from the student candidate to a person designated by the university

Submission of the following documents by the student candidate to the university:

passport

Proof of education, if necessary, additional documents, including an identification document.

Photo (3X4)
-
English language B2 level certificate. In particular: FCE; IELTS- 5.5-6.5; TOEFL Paper 513-547; TOEFL CBT-183 – 210; TOEFL IBT- 65-78 (Note: in case of the certificate absence the applicant is subject to take internal university examination in English)

Submission of a receipt confirming the payment of the registration fee.

Second stage:
Within 7 business days from submission of the documents an English exam is scheduled for those applicants with no English language B2 certificate (Note: B2 level, the applicant should accumulate at least 61% in the test). Within the aforementioned term, an interview is scheduled for all applicants via e-communication means in order to find out the program language knowledge level. In case of a successful interview the applicants get an acceptance letter from Sabauni.
Based on the acceptance letter, the applicant must pay the registration fee. The registration fee is $300 and includes the fee for translation, notarization and recognition by the center.

At the time of payment, you must specify: first name, last name and program. After receiving the fee, Sabauni sends an official confirmation letter to the applicant.
After the official letter is issued, Sabauni launches the applicants’ enrollment procedure that takes approximately 1 month (translation, notarization of documents, approval by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, Individual administrative-legal act on enrollment by the head/acting head of the Department for Development of Higher Education and Science, Principal’s decree on enrollment). After the procedure is over the applicant receives an official decree regarding enrollment in University.
Before the rector's order is issued, the applicant must pay one year's tuition fees in full. After the procedure is completed, the applicant receives an official order for admission to the university by email.
Third stage:
Visa support
The university provides visa support for the student, which is expressed in the following:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia has created a special portal where interested persons can find all the necessary information related to visas (https://www.geoconsul.gov.ge/en/visaInformation).
Sabauni's International Students Manager assists applicants in arranging visa documentation and issues all necessary documents from the university.
Please note that you must be enrolled in Sulkhan-Saba Orbelian University when applying for a visa! The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia usually takes about 3 weeks to enroll a foreign student, and it takes 4 weeks to get a visa. These are indicative timeframes and students are advised to confirm these matters with the appropriate source.
Student reception and adaptation procedures:
For the purpose of adaptation of foreign students at Sulkhan-Saba Orbelian University, the "Student Assistance '' Guidemate students program was created,within the framework Georgian students will help foreign students (maximum of 5 foreign students per Georgian student).
Foreign students can apply to the Georgian Student Support Office with issues such as:

Transport (direction, travel card)

Issues related to student bases

Adapting to the local community (entertainment events)

In case of renting an apartment, you will help in communication with the owner of the apartment, if necessary

Admission/accommodation/adaptation procedures for foreign students are as follows:

Contacting enrolled students and providing general information about life in Georgia.
After the registration is completed, and the names of the enrolled students are known, the manager of foreign students contacts the students by e-mail and sends all the necessary information about their arrival and life in Georgia). Students have the opportunity to use modern university dormitories at a discounted price, where all safety standards are monitored.

Guidemate student attachment
Based on communication with Georgian and foreign students we select which Georgian student will be the Guidemate of which foreign student and provide foreign students with contacts of Georgian students.

Arrival
In case the group arrives together, it is possible to meet them at the airport and accommodate them based on prior agreement.

Open day
One week before the studies start, the manager of international students together with the faculties organizes an open day(s), where students get detailed information about the university and teaching here (study schedule, assessment system, exams, study format, materials, use of the student base, etc.). At the same meeting, the students will meet the representatives of various structural units, who will have constant contact with the students (study process management service, student affairs service, international relations service, financial service, etc.).

City tour
In order to get to know the city, a city tour will be organized for foreign students within 2-3 weeks after the start of studies.
The manager of international students and the dean of the faculty are in constant contact with students. The dean of the faculty is in constant contact with students and holds a meeting with them 1-2 months after the start of studies, where students will share their motivations, problems (if any), issues and so on.
Once a year, cultural days are organized by the manager of international relations, the faculty and the student affairs service, where students have the opportunity to introduce their culture to the audience in various ways (music, cooking, presentation, etc.).
