FUCE scholarship – mobility program for the students
Exclusively for Sabauni students, applications are now open for the FUCE grant for the 2025-2026 academic year, intended for students of the Faculties of Theology and Social Sciences of Sabauni.
The FUCE (Federation of Catholic Universities of Europe) scholarship, similar to Erasmus+, involves the mobility of students to a partner university for one semester with the recognition of credits. Students have the opportunity to study at one of the Sabaun partner universities that are members of the Federation.
The selected student will receive 2,500 euros to cover living and travel expenses abroad.
To participate in the mobility, students should:
- Be a citizen of Georgia
- The student must have completed at least one year
- Active status as a student of the Faculty of Theology or Social Sciences;
- Good academic performance;
- Knowledge of one of the languages of instruction at the host university;
- The student must not have received another grant during the mobility semester.
- High motivation and appropriate competence to study in a foreign language at a foreign university.
Required documentation for registration:
- Application form (download here)
- Copy of passport or ID
- Certificate of active student status
- Student’s academic record card
- International certificate confirming the foreign language (B2) in which studies are being conducted at the receiving university (in case of absence, a document issued by the Foreign Language Center of Sabaun).
- Motivational letter (in English, at least 200 words) (the letter should clearly state the student’s motivation, why he/she wants to study at a particular university, what courses he/she finds interesting, what his/her goals are and how this mobility will help him/her achieve these goals).
- Letter of recommendation (Faculty Dean, Professor)
- FUCE Learning Agreement (signed by the host university, student, and home university).
After registration, students will be interviewed and selected by the selection committee.

- Academic performance
- Foreign language proficiency (B2)
- Motivation
Note: Preference will be given to students who have never received a foreign study grant
The list of selected applicants will be sent to the Federation, which will select the scholarship holders.
Documents to be sent to the Federation:
- Completed student application form
- Copy of passport
- Academic transcript (in English)
- University status certificate (in English)
- Foreign language certificate (at least B2 level)
- Motivation letter (about the student, his/her goals (education, career), and the role of this mobility in achieving these goals) (200 words)
- Recommendation letter (dean of the faculty, lecturer, academic supervisor)
- FUCE Learning Agreement (the agreement is concluded between the student, the sending university, and receiving universities).
- Acceptance letter from the host university.
- The International Relations Manager will help you communicate with the receiving university.
Important dates:
- February 13, 15:00 - Information meeting
- March 1 - Registration
- February 25, 10:00 - Foreign language test for those who do not have an international certificate (those wishing to take the test, please register at the link, no later than 23 February)
- Week of March 3 - Interview with the selection committee
Final answers will be announced in June and applicants will be notified via email
