The aim of the programme is to provide students with:
1. To achieve the latest and in-depth knowledge in basic biomedical, behavioural, clinical and social sciences;
2. To develop clinical and research skills, which will match the corresponding study cycle, in medical and social sciences, find the latest material independently and apply critical analysis skills to resolve clinical issues;
3. To promote public healthcare by providing citizens and patients with effective care in consideration of professional and ethical values;
4. To be ready for continuous expansion of knowledge for future professional development.
Field of employment:
The graduate of one-cycle higher education programme (Medical Doctor) is not granted to run the independent medical practice
according to the applicable legislation, she/he can be:
1. Employed as a Junior Doctorn under the responsibility of an independent medical practitioner (Law of Georgia "On Medical Activities" June 8, 2001, Article 5)
2. Carry out research and teaching activities in the theoretical fields of medicine or other fields of health care that do not include an independent medical practice.
