Psychology Lecturers Visit Ružomberok University
Natalia Mchedlishvili, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University, along with visiting lecturer Ana Menagarishvili, visited the Catholic University of Ružomberok in Slovakia as part of the Erasmus+ academic staff mobility program.
During their visit, the professors delivered lectures to Slovak students in the field of clinical psychology. They also participated in a public discussion on current developments in Georgia, emphasizing the role of free media in society. Both professors and students actively engaged in the conversation.
In addition to their academic duties, the professors met with Professor Robert Durka from the Faculty of Psychology to explore potential avenues for collaboration. They also toured the university's facilities and became acquainted with the work of the Psychology Counseling Center, which offers free services to both students and staff.
“This mobility was very important for me, as I had never given lectures to a foreign-speaking audience before. I also had the opportunity to learn about the Counseling Center services provided to students and academic staff at the University of Ružomberok. Based on this experience, a similar center could be established at Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University,” said Natalia Mchedlishvili.
The academic mobility program took place from March 24 to 28, 2025.
