The 8th International Conference on Development Studies
On June 25 - 26, 2026, the 8th International Conference in Development Studies was successfully held at Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University under the theme:
“Sustainable Development in the Era of Modern Transformations: Institutional Challenges and Innovative Pathways.”
The conference is organized annually by the Faculty of Business and Technology and the Institute for Development Studies. It aims to promote the academic analysis of contemporary global challenges, the discussion of innovative approaches, and the strengthening of international scientific cooperation.
During the two-day conference, plenary speeches, thematic sessions, and panel discussions were held, where participants discussed current issues related to sustainable development, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, educational ecosystems, security, energy transition, and institutional development.
The conference brought together representatives of academic and professional circles from Georgia, Poland, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Hungary, Algeria, and Jamaica, further emphasizing the international scale and significance of the event.
The conference serves as an important platform for researchers, professors, and practitioners from different countries to share knowledge, experience, and research perspectives. This year, particular attention was devoted to institutional and innovative mechanisms that support sustainable development in the context of modern transformations.
