English Philology Students as Real Tour Guides
Organized by the Head of the English Philology Program Shorena Gogiashvili, first- and second-year students participated in an engaging educational project, during which they took on the roles of tour guides on a walking tour of Old Tbilisi
The students presented to their supervisor, in English, the rich culture and long-standing tradition of tolerance in Tbilisi. During the tour, they visited the Catholic Church, Synagogue, Mosque, Anchiskhati Church, and Sioni Cathedral, as well as explored Sharden Street, Abanotubani, Metekhi Church, and other historic landmarks.
The project aimed to enhance students’ practical language, presentation, and intercultural communication skills in a real-life environment—an experience that proved both valuable and unforgettable.
