Through a research grant at Palacký University in Olomouc

Associate Professor Maia Manchkhashvili and Affiliated Assistant Professor Maka Benashvili from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University visited Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic, as part of a research project.

Over the course of one month, the lecturers from Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University conducted research at the Department of Communication within the Faculty of Theology St.Cyril and Methodius,, under the supervision of Professor Jaroslav Frank.

The project is titled “The History of Combating Disinformation in the Czech Republic (1993–2023).” As a result of the project, Maia Manchkhashvili and Maka Benashvili will co-author an academic article based on their research. This work will also contribute to their joint monograph, “Georgia–Czech Cooperation (1993–2023).”

The research project was conducted in February (2-28) of this year and was made possible through funding from a Research Fellowship by the Ministry of Education of Czech Republic.
