Solidarity Summer School
Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University two MA students, Ani Kvinikadze and Nino Tchaghalidze have participated in Solidarity Summer School, organized by the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow and took place on July 10-14 online.
“Solidarity Summer School was one of the best experiences for me. Within the framework of the project, I had an opportunity to get acquainted with the interesting and different people from different parts of the world, which made the discussions in frame of the project more interesting and diverse. During the summer school, I was given the opportunity to better understand the importance of the Solidarity movement not only for Poland, but also for the rest of the world, and to evaluate the essence of the movement not only from a legal, but also from a philosophical point of view”- Nino Tchaghaladze.
"Solidarity Summer School hosted representatives of different countries, including Georgia, and I am glad that I was among the 50 participants who had the opportunity to attend the lectures-seminars of the professors of the Faculty of Philosophy. Within the framework of the school, we discussed the historical foundations of the Polish Foundation's solidarity and its impact in the social and economic context. For me, as a lawyer, it was interesting to discuss the developed standards of the International Labor Organization and the social responsibility of corporations in terms of solidarity. The project was doubly interesting, because representatives of different countries shared the experience of our country on the same issue, which brought forward the problems facing the contemporary world. I would like to thank for this opportunity the international relations office of Sabauni, which actively informs students about various projects" – Ani Kvinikadze.
Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University and The Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow have cooperated since 2014 in frame of different projects.
