This symposium is an important opportunity for us to receive the latest scientific assessments and conclusions. It is from the multifaceted aspects of rapprochement with the European Union that we explore the challenges of institutional rapprochement, which are important for the expansion of trade relations and the growth of Georgian exports... The results of our research have both: theoretical value and practical significance for economy and business," noted Tamta Mikaberidze, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology of Sabauni.
As Professor Mari Tavartkiladze explained, selection of their research for participating in symposium was due to the relevance of their research topic: "With the aim of institutional rapprochement with the European Union and stimulation of Georgian exports, within the framework of the agreement on the deep and comprehensive trade space signed with the European Union, we conducted research with Georgian exporters. Within the framework of the research were identified non-tariff barriers in trade and we presented the obtained intermediate results at the scientific conference, which was followed by important response from the attendees”.
It is also noteworthy that in the panel discussion an extreme interest was aroused the topic of institutional development and rapprochement of small, developing countries with the European Union.
