Another Success for Sabauni’s Academic Staff

The research work of Ivan Okromtchedlishvili, Associate Professor at Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University, entitled “Economic Defence in Wartime and Transatlantic Solidarity: The Case of Ukraine and NATO”, has been published in the volume “Enhancing Transatlantic Solidarity in Collective Defence: Navigating Increased Defence Expenditures, Cyber Security, and Emerging Risks”, published by the international publisher Emerald Publishing.

The chapter focuses on economic defence in wartime, using Ukraine as a case study, and examines the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war on the country’s macroeconomic stability, industrial and financial systems, and fiscal sustainability. It pays particular attention to financial assistance provided by the European Union, the United States, and international financial institutions.
