Sabauni Associate Professor Receives Blavatnik Archive Fellowship in New York

Nani Manvelishvili, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University, Has Been Awarded the Blavatnik Archive Fellowship in New York. Her project, "The Soviet Home Front as an Emotional World: Family, Childhood, and Wartime Celebrations in Postcards (1941–1945)," focuses on researching historical postcards preserved at the American archive center. Through these sources, the study analyzes the emotional landscape, family dynamics, wartime celebrations, and daily life on the Soviet home front during World War II.

The research will be conducted from September 2026 through February 2027.
