Sabauni Staff at a Summer School in France
From 29 June to 10 July, Professor Giorgi Tavadze of the Faculty of Social Sciences and invited specialist Salome Abulashvili took part in an international summer school jointly organized by the Institut de Recherche et de Communication (Ircom) the Angers Graduate School of Humanities and Management and the University of Angers.
The theme of the summer school was ''Heritage, the Art of Living, and Tourism,'' and it was held in the Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and in Angers, France. ''The summer school's focus was largely tourism-oriented: a great deal of time was devoted to lectures on the local culture and landmarks, followed by visits to those sites. I should also mention the lectures on the history of French wine, given by specialists in the field. Overall, it turned out to be a very interesting summer school, and I am grateful to Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University for this opportunity'' - Salome Abulashvili
As part of the summer school, participants learned about prospects for academic and scientific cooperation with the Angers Graduate School of Humanities and Management and the University of Angers. They also received information about the historical and cultural landmarks of the Angers region.
