Academic Mobility of an Affiliated Assistant from the Faculty of Law to the University of Cádiz
Nana Aghlemashvili, Affiliated Assistant at the Faculty of Law of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University, visited the University of Cádiz in Spain under the Erasmus+ KA171 International Credit Mobility program.
Over the course of one week, Nana Aghlemashvili delivered lectures on Russian aggression against Georgia in the 1990s and in 2008, as well as on the issue of the ethnic cleansing of Georgians.
''Given that, even in the context of the Russia-Ukraine war, there remains only a superficial understanding in international circles of the Russian aggression carried out against Georgia, in my lectures I tried to give current and future specialists in international law a clearer understanding of the aggression committed by Russia in Georgia and its legal consequences. The topic proved to be of great interest to the students, as they had numerous questions both during the lecture and after it concluded'' - said Nana Aghlemashvili.
Academic staff mobility gives personnel the opportunity not only to deliver lectures to foreign students but also to expand their professional network and deepen future cooperation. During the mobility, while speaking with her Spanish colleagues, Nana Aghlemashvili discussed possibilities for future joint articles and research.
Nana Aghlemashvili's mobility took place from May 4-8 of this year and was fully funded by the European Commission-funded Erasmus+ KA171 (ICM) program. Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University has been actively cooperating with the University of Cádiz for the past 5 years within the framework of staff and student exchange programs.
