Hungarian Professor Visits Sabauni

From October 27 to 31, 2025, Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University had the pleasure of hosting Professor Tamás Gyulávari from Pázmány Péter Catholic University (Hungary).

During his visit, Professor Gyulávari met with the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor George Goradze, and the International Relations Manager, Ms. Shorena Parunashvili. The meeting focused on sharing detailed information about the academic activities of Sabauni’s Faculty of Law and exploring future areas of collaboration.

Professor Gyulávari, a specialist in Labour Law and editor of a Hungarian academic e-journal, expressed his willingness to strengthen cooperation with Georgian colleagues. He also discussed opportunities for Georgian scholars to publish research articles in the Hungarian journal in the fields of Labour Law and Anti-Discrimination Law.

As part of his mobility, Professor Gyulávari delivered a public lecture for Sabauni students on U Anti-Discrimination Law. The event was also attended by Ms. Zsófia Kelemen, representative of the Embassy of Hungary in Georgia.

Additionally, he conducted a lecture for master’s students in the Law programme on the topic Collective Labour Law in Eastern European Countries. The visit of Professor Gyulávari from Pázmány Péter Catholic University took place within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 Staff Mobility Programme, funded by the European Commission.
