Research Mobility of a Sabauni Associate Professor at the University of Prešov

Anna Gogilashvili, an associate professor at Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University (SABAUNI), spent one month at the University of Prešov in Slovakia under the Slovak National Scholarship Program. The visit was fully funded by the Government of Slovakia. During her stay, she met with colleagues, worked in university libraries, and conducted research on the topic: "The Soviet Era Through the Lens of Contemporary Georgian and Slovak Literature (A Comparative Analysis)."

While the original plan of the project included the publication of a scientific article, due to the research's academic novelty, the volume of collected material, and the mutual interest from both the Georgian and Slovak sides, it was decided to publish a monograph in addition to the article. The monograph will serve as a guide for studying and analyzing recent Georgian and Slovak literature in a comparative context.

The Slovak National Scholarship Program provides opportunities for foreign professors, researchers, and students to study and conduct research at accredited universities in Slovakia for various periods. Several professors from Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University have already participated in this program and carried out research activities at partner Slovak institutions.
