The Importance of Volunteering and Student Engagement – Information Session

If you are a student of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University and wish to transform the winter holiday into a meaningful experience of social responsibility and solidarity, you are invited to an information session on December 3rd at 15:00.

The session will be conducted by volunteers from the charitable foundation “Caritas Georgia”, who will introduce students to the importance of volunteering in Georgia, existing challenges, and opportunities for development. During the meeting, the event “A Christmas Village of Dignity” will be presented in detail. Its main goal is to transform the winter celebration into a platform of solidarity and compassion through the collaboration of Caritas beneficiaries, partner organizations, and the wider community.

SabaUni students will have the opportunity to engage in the following areas:

• Student Volunteers Team: Participation in organizational processes of the event (supporting the sales corner, welcoming guests, offering warm drinks, and providing informational assistance);

• Donation Booth: Students for Dignity: Involvement in collecting small donations in advance at the university, which will be delivered to the Harmony Center;

• Charity Auction: Collecting various items (books, household items, electronics, etc.) for a charitable auction;

• Student Initiative: Developing and implementing individual ideas and small projects that will add meaningful value to the festival program.

For students, this session is an opportunity to better understand their role in social processes and, through participation, contribute to strengthening the practice of social solidarity.
