Exchange Program at the Catholic University of Eichstätt- Ingolstadt

The call for applications is now open for a study grant at the Catholic University of Eichstätt- Ingolstadt for the spring semester of the 2026-2027 academic year.
To take part in the competition, an applicant must:
- be a student of the Faculty of Theology or the Faculty of Social Sciences;
- be no older than 27;
- be female;
- hold active student status;
- have no outstanding financial obligations;
- have completed at least one semester at Sabauni.
Student mobility is funded by the Diocese of Eichstätt, Courses offered by the German university can be viewed at the following link
Note 1: Please note that the Theology program at the University of Eichstätt is taught exclusively in German.
Documentation to be submitted:
- academic transcript;
- an international certificate confirming foreign-language proficiency (level B2, TOEFL, IELTS). Where no such certificate is available, students should contact SabaUni's Foreign Languages Center, sit a test, and obtain a document confirming their level. Students wishing to sit the test should register at the following link no later than September 23
- motivation letter in English;
- CV in Europass format (https://europa.eu/europass/en);
- letter of recommendation from the faculty / a SabaUni professor;
- document confirming participation in community engagement activities;
- document confirming participation in extracurricular activities;
- the student's consent to share the personal information required for participation in the exchange program with the host university (this information will be shared following selection; download the form here and return it signed).
Documentation required for registration should be sent from the applicant's SabaUni e-mail address to: ir@sabauni.edu.ge, with the subject line: ''Exchange Program at the University of Eichstätt'';
Note 2: In order for credits obtained abroad to be recognized, the student must complete administrative registration (payment of the semester tuition fee) at SabaUni before departing.
Selection criteria:
- academic record – 30 points;
- foreign-language proficiency – 25 points;
- motivation* – 25 points;
- participation in community engagement activities – 10 points;
- participation in other extracurricular activities – 10 points.
The student's motivation is assessed by a selection committee, appointed by order of the Rector, against the following criteria: the extent of the student's familiarity with the host university/programs, and the extent to which they understand the significance of this particular exchange program for their professional and personal development.
In the event of an equal score, preference will be given to students registered in the Theology and Sociology programs.
Important deadlines:
- September 24, 13:00 — English-language testing
- September 24 — Deadline for submission of documents
- September 25 — Interview with the selection committee (the exact time will be communicated once registration has closed)
