Erasmus+ student mobility at the university of Cadiz
The acceptance of documents for participating in the competition of the Erasmus+ ICM grant program funded by the European Commission has been announced. As part of the program, Sabauni students will study at the University of Cadiz (Spain) in the fall semester of the 2024-2025 academic year.
The undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students of Sabauni Law can participate in the competition.
Who cannot apply:
- Students in the first year (semester) of the bachelor's program.
- Students with suspended status Students of the final course or semester (possible if the student adds an additional semester after the end of the mobility)
- A student who has financial debt
- A student who has already obtained an Erasmus+ ICM grant at one level.
Grant:
- Monthly stipend: 850 euros
- A student with fewer opportunities (socially disadvantaged, from a border region, from a mountainous region, from a large family, etc.) will receive an additional grant of 250 euros.
- Persons with disabilities (33%) will also receive additional financial assistance.
- Travel: 820 euros
The Erasmus+ program does not cover visa fees and insurance costs.
Please note that there is no Spanish consulate in Georgia; you need to go to Turkey to get a visa.

Note 1: Please note that in cases of educational mobility, the student (student of all three levels) must speak Spanish! Knowledge of Spanish is not required for students who are going to carry out research activities. During the research mobility, it is possible for the applicant to present a document confirming their knowledge of the English or French language, at least at the B1 level.
Required documentations:
- Academic performance card;
- Copy of an international passport;
- Certificate confirming knowledge of the Spanish language, at least B1 (if not available, it is possible to obtain this type of document after special testing from the host university). A Spanish language certificate is required for teaching purposes. A Spanish language certificate is not mandatory for master's and doctoral students who plan research mobility. In this case, a certificate of knowledge of the English language, at least B1 and above, is mandatory (if not, interested persons should take a test at a foreign language center).

- A letter of acceptance from the head of the research group of the host university or from a Spanish professor who is willing to supervise the PhD student. Download it from here.
- CV in Euro Pass format;
- Recommendation from a faculty or Sabauni professor
The applicant should send the documents from their official e-mail address at the university to the international relations manager at the following email: ir@sabauni.edu.ge.
Note 2: According to the requirements of the partner university or organization, additional documents may be requested.
Note 3: In order for the credits received during the mobility semester to be recognized, the student must undergo administrative registration in Sabauni before going abroad.
The selection criteria for Sabuni are:
- Academic performance: 30%
- English language: 40%
- Motivation: 30%
In cases of equal points, priority will be given to a student from a socially disadvantaged family and also to a student who has not participated in the Erasmus+ program.
The selection criteria for the Spanish side are:
- Initial participation in the Erasmus+ program: 1 point
- Academic performance: 2 points
- Student's research plan: 2 points
- Spanish language knowledge (B2 level and above): 1 point
- Knowledge of other languages (B2 level and above): 1 point
- Inclusivity (if the student belongs to one of the groups listed in the Erasmus+ Inclusion and Diversity Support Strategy): 3 points
Stages:
In the first stage, students are nominated and selected by the host university.
In the second step, fill out the online application and sign the study contract (which will be posted on the website of the University of Cadiz at the beginning of May).

- Copy of passport
- Language certificates
- Signed study agreement (in PDF format)
Important deadlines:
April 4, 10:00 a.m.: English language test (for those who do not have an international certificate)
April 9: receipt of documents
April 10–11: Interview with the selection committee and selection of candidates (the exact time will be announced after registration is completed).
June 1: completion of the online application (second stage for nominated students)
Mid-June: publication of final answers on the website of the host university.
