Academic Mobility of an English Philology Lecturer in Poland
Veriko Khutsishvili, a visiting lecturer at Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University, participated in an Erasmus+ KA171 academic staff mobility program at Ignatianum University in Krakow, Poland.
Over the course of one week, the SABAUNI lecturer delivered lectures to five different student groups, focusing on the role of culture in language teaching and the importance of intercultural communication. In addition to her lectures, she took part in a roundtable discussion where students had the opportunity to ask questions and receive comprehensive answers on topics of interest.
„The mobility was a significant step in both my professional and personal development. Teaching in English at the host university allowed me to share my academic experience and to become acquainted with different educational approaches. This mobility is important for our university, and particularly for the faculty, as it contributes to the strengthening of international academic partnerships, the enhancement of education quality, and the increased visibility of the university in the international arena," said Veriko Khutsishvili.
Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University has collaborated with Ignatianum University for many years on various projects. Through the Erasmus+ student and staff mobility program, numerous SABAUNI students and professors have visited the Polish university. The lecturer’s academic mobility took place from April 7 to 11, 2025.
