Conference “Care and Support: Application of Robots and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Elderly Care”

On May 27, 2025, Dr. Shorena Gogiashvili, Associate Professor at Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University, participated in the international scientific conference “Care and Support: Application of Robots and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Elderly Care”, organized by Pázmány Péter Catholic University in Budapest.

Shorena Gogiashvili presented a paper entitled: “Fostering Cross-Generational Dialogue through Artificial Intelligence: Can Robots Deepen Communication between Youth and the Elderly?” where she discussed how modern technology and AI can contribute to strengthening intergenerational connection and mutual understanding.

The event brought together leading experts from various countries in the fields of social sciences, technology, theology, and care policy. Participants jointly discussed the contemporary challenges of elderly care and explored innovative ways to improve care systems through the application of artificial intelligence and robotics.
