Visit of a Professor from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University to Sabauni
From April 30 to May 1, 2026, the Faculty of Social Sciences at Sabauni hosted Professor Jarosław Krajka from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. The visit of the Polish professor was carried out within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 Academic Staff Mobility Programme,funded by the European Commission.
At the outset of the visit, Professor Krajka met with members of the university administration, during which he was briefed on Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University. Discussions were also held regarding the existing collaboration between the two institutions and their future plans. The meeting was attended, on behalf of the administration, by Vice-Rector Professor Dimitri Gegenava, Head of the Bachelor's Programme in English Philology Shorena Gogiashvili, Dean of the Faculty of Theology Professor Gocha Barnovi, and International Relations Manager Shorena Parunashvili.
Over the course of the week-long visit, Professor Krajka delivered lectures to students of the Bachelor's Programme in English Philology on the topic of ''Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Foreign Language Teaching.'' During the lectures, students gained additional insight into the use of various artificial intelligence applications in the foreign language learning process, which contributed to a more engaging and enriching academic experience.
Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University has maintained a collaborative partnership with Maria Curie- Skłodowska University since 2022, within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 Programme as well as individual exchange programmes.
