TRANSFORMING JUSTICE: Advancing Gender Equality Through Legal Action
28 July – 1 August 2025 | Outside Tbilisi, Georgia
The Council of Europe, in partnership with Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University, invites students who, at the time of application, are in the final year of their Bachelor's or Master's degree in legal studies in Georgia to apply for the 2025 Summer School: Transforming Justice. This five-day programme is designed to strengthen the capacity of future legal professionals to advance gender equality and combat violence against women and domestic violence through the legal system.
Participants will explore key legal standards—especially the Istanbul Convention—alongside landmark case law, emerging challenges such as technology-facilitated violence, SLAPP cases, and intersectional vulnerabilities. The programme includes expert-led sessions, practical exercises, a moot court, and post-training opportunities.
Deadline for applications: 16 June 2025, 23:59 (Tbilisi time)
Apply via email to: Genderequality.georgia@coe.int
