Mobility of the Faculty of Medicine Professor to the University of Rzeszów
Salome Akhvlediani, a professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University (SABAUNI), visited the University of Rzeszów in Poland through the Erasmus+ KA171 academic staff mobility program.
During the one-week visit, Professor Salome Akhvlediani delivered lectures to Polish students. In addition, she met with colleagues from the Faculty of Medicine, participated in the clinical training process, and shared her experiences, challenges, and strategies for addressing them with Polish peers. She also toured the infrastructure of the University of Rzeszów’s Faculty of Medicine and observed the functioning of various diagnostic devices firsthand.
“The simulation center was amazing: simulation equipment for various surgical procedures and a wide range of diagnostic devices. Particularly impressive was the special environment with special effects designed for carrying out different situational scenarios,” said Salome Akhvlediani.
As a result of this mobility, Georgian and Polish colleagues agreed to deepen future collaboration and expressed readiness to share experiences—especially in the planning and implementation of a simulation center.
Salome Akhvlediani’s mobility to the University of Rzeszów took place from May 12 to May 16, 2025, and was fully funded by the Erasmus+ program.
