Public Lecture – Behind the Scenes: Children, Gadgets, and the Challenges of Motherhood
Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University hosted a public lecture entitled “Behind the Screen: Children, Gadgets, and the Challenges of Motherhood”, led by psychologist, child and adolescent psychodiagnostician, and psychological counselor Zanda Chechelashvili.
During the lecture, the speaker discussed the role of screens in contemporary life, both for adults and children, highlighting the positive and negative aspects of their use.
Participants received valuable insights into the impact of digital technologies on child development, the importance of managing screen time, and practical approaches that can help parents foster healthy relationships with their children and encourage the responsible use of technology.
The event was conducted in an interactive format, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions and receive practical recommendations on maintaining a healthy balance between screen-based and screen-free activities for children.
The public lecture was organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 Capacity Building Project “:Enhancing Capacities for Sustainable Community Engagement: Cases of Georgia and Sierra Leone".” The project aims to strengthen cooperation between universities and communities and raise awareness of the importance of community engagement initiatives.
