Professor from Law faculty Visits Péter Pázmány Catholic University
Simon Takashvili, Professor at the Faculty of Law, visited Péter Pázmány Catholic University in Budapest under the academic staff mobility program.
During the visit, Professor Takashvili delivered lectures on labor law and property law. ''It was interesting to meet with students from the international program and deliver lectures, as they showed considerable interest in learning about the Georgian legal system and labor market. It was also interesting to draw parallels in legal approaches within the field of property law as well. What I found particularly interesting was the format in which the Hungarian colleague had students present their work following my lecture. It appears the lecturer had assigned not only legal research on the topics but also involved other students in the research process. This made the presentation livelier, more interactive, and more engaging'' - said Simon Takashvili.
In addition to the lectures, Simon Takashvili met with Hungarian colleagues, with whom he discussed current developments in the field and future plans. Plans were made to collaborate with a labor law lecturer on a joint academic paper, as well as for invitations to and participation in international conferences. Professor Takashvili's visit took place from May 4-8, 2026, within the framework of Erasmus+ KA171 academic staff mobility.
