Summer School “Practicing Resilience, Preparing for Recovery”
From 27 June till 8 July 2022 a summer school “Practicing Resilience, Preparing for Recovery” was held in Dubrovnik (Croatia) aiming to gather students from partner catholic universities and find the ways to support Ukrainian Students in light of ongoing war in Ukraine. Two-week summer school was held in a city that experienced first hand the devastation of war and post war reconstruction. During the summer school lectures, workshops and cultural events were scheduled. "The summer school included lectures and practical lessons in an interactive learning format. We students had the opportunity to visit the sights of Dubrovnik, get to know the city's recent wartime past and experience the beauty of the restored city." – Giorgi Leluashvili, summer school participant and MA of Theology of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University.
The summer camp brought together about fifty students from Sabuni 's partner European universities (Catholic University of Ukraine, Catholic University of Lublin, Sulkhan-Saba Orbelian University, University of Ružomberok, University of Croatia) and professors from Europe and America. At the end of the program, the participants of the summer school were given certificates.
The summer school is organized by the Catholic University of Croatia, the Nanovik Institute for European Studies (University of Notre Dame, USA) and the Catholic University of Ukraine.
