Community Engagement Projects in Schools

Outreach events were held in schools in Tbilisi and Kutaisi, organized by the Anti-Discrimination Center of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University and Orbeliani Academy. Students from Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University participated in the events and led various activities together with schoolchildren. The events included public lectures on the importance of equality and tolerance, as well as on personal data and the necessity of protecting it. The meetings were interactive in nature, and the schoolchildren engaged in the discussions with great interest. The purpose of the meetings was, on one hand, to raise awareness among schoolchildren on these topics, and on the other hand, to help Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University students appreciate the importance of community engagement and deepen their spirit of volunteerism.

The events were held under the Erasmus+ KA2 project "Enhancing Capacities for Sustainable Community Engagement: Cases of Georgia and Sierra Leone," which aims to raise awareness about community engagement and strengthen civic responsibility among citizens.
