The Sulkhan-Saba-Sabaliani Faculty of Law undertook an informative visit to the European Parliament.
From November 6 to 11, organized by the Faculty of Law at Sabuni, university students, lecturers, and practicing lawyers embarked on an educational visit to Strasbourg.
The delegation had the privilege of studying at the heart of European governance, visiting esteemed institutions such as the European Parliament, the European Court of Human Rights, and the Council of Europe. As part of the educational visit, participants were provided with the opportunity to delve into the specifics of the institutions' work and gain knowledge about their activities and modern challenges.
Mariam Sabedashvili, a student of the Faculty of Law, participated in such an educational tour for the second time. She emphasized the transformative nature of these experiences, noting that they not only deepen knowledge but also strengthen career aspirations.
"Visits to the European Court of Human Rights, the European Council, and the European Parliament have finally solidified my goal. I believe that in the future, I will connect my career with these European structures," says Mariam.
As part of the visit, participants in the European Parliament received certificates confirming their participation in a ceremonial setting.
The visit of the people of Sabun to the European Parliament was symbolic as it coincided with the recommendation of candidate status for EU membership and the 365th anniversary of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani.
This type of educational activity is not unfamiliar to the Faculty of Law at Sabun. The university organizes similar projects several times a year, providing students, lecturers, and practitioners with a unique chance to broaden their horizons. The Sabun delegation has already visited Strasbourg four times, with several visits to The Hague and Warsaw preceding the trips to Strasbourg.
