The first defense of a doctoral dissertation took place at Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University.

Doctoral student Maka Partsvania presented her dissertation on the topic, "Legal Boundaries of State Control in the Renewable Energy Market."

The co-supervisors of her work were Professor Dimitri Gegenava and Professor Michael Domagala (Lublin, Poland).

The dissertation committee consisted of professors from Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University and invited experts.

The dissertation received the highest evaluation, Summa Cum Laude, and, on the recommendation of the dissertation council, will be published as a monograph.
