Training of Trainees and STAR project meeting in Tbilisi
Academic and administrative staff of Sabauni attended on the training of trainee that was held within the Erasmus+ KA2 STAR project on 16-18 October at University of Georgia. The main aim of the project “Sustainable Learner-Centered Teaching - Advanced Resources for Georgia and China (STAR)” is to collect the best practice of Learner-Centered Teaching into one manual considering the situation in Georgian and Chinese educational system and its implementation in the partner HEI. The first part of the project was dedicated to the development of the manual and establishment of CPD units at the Georgian and Chinese Universities. The next step according to the project is training for trainees and its implementation. Participant academic and administrative staff will provide the trainings for the professor of Sabauni. The trainings will be offered by newly established Center for Continuous Professional Development.
The trainings were divided into two part: for academic staff and for administrative staff. Academic staff were trained on the new teaching methods and administrative staff were informed about the CPD units.
Before the face-to-face training, the participant were able to share their experience and get familiar to the project during the online training (24 September – 13 October).
The trainings were prepared by the representatives of the partner Universities from: University of Coimbra (Portugal), University of Ruse (Bulgaria) Masaryk University (Czech Republic).
The training of trainee was held in frame of fourth project meeting, which was planned on 15-19 October. At the end of the meeting the participants of the project were concluded the trainings and discussed the agenda of the fifth meeting in Zhanjiang (China), which took place on 22 – 26 October.
