Webinar: European Sports Law, Proposals for sports governance in Georgia
On 21st July of 2020, Faculty of Law of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University in cooperation with Consolidated Research Group on Fundamental Rights and European Union of the University of Basque County and Spanish Association of Sports hosted an online webinar “European Sports Law, Proposals for sports governance in Georgia”, which aims to promote the study if Sports law in the Caucasus.
Webinar was followed by the recognized speakers Carmen Perez Gonzales, professor of International Public Law at the University Carlos III (Madrid, Spain) and head researcher of the Research project “Advisory Services in the Area of Sports Law” of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Jose Luis Perez Trivino, Professor of Philosophy of Law at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona (Spain) and President of the Spanish Association of Sports Philosophy and of the Latin Association of Sports Philosophy. In the webinar as a guest speaker was invited Teo Baramidze, Senior specialist at Physical Education and Sport Development Division at the Ministy of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, who shared good practice of ministry regarding the sports law.
The webinar was moderated by David Ruano researcher of the Consolidated Research Team “Fundamental Tight and European Union/European Reseach and Documentaion Center (University of Pau and Adour Countries, France) and Giorgi Goradze, Dean of Faculty of Law of Sabaun.
From Georgia two other Georgian Universities were participated in the webinar: Georgian Technical University and New Vision University.
