International Congress Migration Policy and Legal Responses: from the perspectives of Visegrad, WB and EaP Countries

We are pleased to announce the upcoming International Scientific Congress on “Migration Policy and Legal Responses: Perspectives from Visegrad, Western Balkans, and Eastern Partnership Countries.” The conference aims to bring together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to share insights and research findings on migration policies and legal frameworks in these regions.

Organizers: Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University (Georgia), Palacky University Olomouc (Czechia), University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava (Slovakia), University of St. Kliment Ohridski-Bitola (North Macedonia).

Conference Topics: We encourage submissions that address, but are not limited to, the following
topics:

• Comparative analyses of migration policies in the Visegrad, Western Balkans, and Eastern
• Partnership countries Legal frameworks and human rights implications of migration
• Best practices and lessons learned in managing migration flows
• The role of international organizations and NGOs in migration policy
• Impact of migration on regional stability and development

Submission Guidelines:

Abstracts: Abstracts should not exceed 200-500 words and must clearly state the research question, methodology, results, and implications.

Articles: Full papers should adhere to approximately 40 000 characters, including footnotes and spaces without bibliography, Chicago citation style. Papers should be submitted in Microsoft Word.

Participation Conditions:

• Abstracts and articles will undergo a peer-review process.
• Authors will be notified of acceptance to the conference by February 28, 2025.
• Conference attendance is open to all interested parties, including researchers, students, policymakers, and practitioners.

Important Dates:
