10 Years of Erasmus+ at Sabauni
Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University has been participating in Erasmus+ ICM projects funded by the European Commission for ten years now. To mark this important milestone, a reception was held on October 17 for the alumni of this program. Representatives from the embassies of the countries where the mobilities took place were also invited to the event. At the meeting, the university’s International Relations Manager, Shorena Parunashvili, delivered a presentation summarizing the Erasmus+ projects implemented over the past decade.
'' More than 100 students sent on mobility, up to 100 academic and administrative staff mobilities, and around 80 foreign staff hosted — these are the results of our Erasmus+ projects over ten years, and we are truly proud of them. These aren't just numbers; they represent unforgettable memories, success stories, new friendships, broken stereotypes, new collaborations, and future plans,” said Shorena Parunashvili.
After the presentation, program alumni had the opportunity to share their experiences, impressions, and best memories that the Erasmus+ exchange program left in their lives. The event was attended by representatives from the embassies of Hungary, Italy, and France.
The meeting was held as part of the ErasmusDays international campaign, which is celebrated annually around the world and brings together thousands of different events from nearly every corner of the globe. As part of the same campaign, Shorena Parunashvili also held an informational session for students interested in Erasmus+ mobility, where she provided general information about the Erasmus+ projects and current open calls.
The event was joined online by representatives of the International Relations Offices from the Catholic University of Lublin, Maria Curie- Skłodowska University, and the Pontifical University of Salamanca. ErasmusDays 2025 was celebrated from October 13 to October 18.
