Erasmus+ ICM for BA and MA students during the 2025-2026 academic year
Applications are now open for the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) programme funded by the European Commission.
The programme is open to undergraduate and graduate students with an active academic status, who have no financial debt and a minimum GPA of 2 or higher.
The following are not eligible to apply:
- First-semester students
- Final-semester students (only if they agree with the faculty and are ready to add a semester after the end of the mobility).
- Students with financial debt
The Erasmus+ ICM programme is an exchange programme that covers travel costs and also provides a monthly stipend (travel costs and the amount of the stipend depend on the country where the host university is located). For details, see the link.
The Erasmus+ program does not cover visa fees and insurance costs.

it is possible to obtain an additional grant (250 euros per month) for students with Fewer opportunities (socially disadvantaged, large families, border regions, occupied regions, internally displaced persons, single parents, etc.).
Interested persons should send the requested documentation no later than April 12th from Sabauni's email address to the International Relations Manager's email address: ir@sabauni.edu.ge . In the subject indicate: Erasmus+ ICM (the university where you are applying).
Documents to be submitted:
- Academic transcript;
- Foreign language certificate B2 (TOEFEL, IELTS), if available; (if not available, students will take the test at the University's Foreign Language Center)
- Motivation letter in English;
- CV in Euro pass format;
- Recommendation from the faculty/professor of the Faculty of Arts (in Georgian or English)
Note 1: Additional documents may be requested according to the requirements of the partner university/organization.
Note 2: In order for the credits earned during the mobility semester to be recognized, the student must undergo administrative registration at the Faculty of Arts before going abroad.
Selection criteria are:
- Academic performance - 30%
- English language - 40%
- Motivation - 30%
In case of equal scores, preference will be given to students from socially vulnerable families and also to students who have not participated in the Erasmus+ program.
Important dates:
April 10, 11:00 - English language testing for those who do not have an international certificate (those wishing to take the test must register at the link on April 9 of this year)
April 12 - Receiving documents
April 14 - Interview with the selection committee and selection of candidates
