Place:3 Kalistrate Kutateladze St., Tbilisi, Georgia
Date of placement:11/05/2026
Date: On 27 October 2026, the Faculty of Social Sciences at Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University will host the Third International Scientific Conference,'';Societies in Transition''.
Conference Overview:
Given the complexity of the subject matter, the annual interdisciplinary examination of the challenges faced by societies in transition provides an opportunity to analyze historical and contemporary experiences related to political conflicts, the evolving dynamics of European security and the new global agenda, as well as the influence of social and other factors on societal attitudes, behaviors, mental health, and well-being. Concurrently, the complex processes of educational transformation in Georgia and across the world inherently necessitate an analysis of the evolving role and significance of educational institutions and practices in fostering resilience, civic identity, and social cohesion. Taken together, these perspectives shed light on the trends pertaining to societal formation, conflict dynamics, mental health, and the broader impact of social, cultural, and institutional factors on societies in transition.
The conference will feature the following panels:
- Panel on Politics and International Relations
- Panel on Psychology and Anthropology
- Panel on Education Sciences
